About Us

James Andrianos is the founding principal of Calculated Risk, Inc. He received a M.B.A. in Finance from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and an A.B. in Decision Science from Princeton University.

He helps the healthcare and human/social service sectors in measuring performance in support of improvement and evaluation. With expertise in healthcare operations, economics, and biomedical statistics, he upgrades decision-making from an anecdotal activity to an evidence-based pursuit. He brings dual perspectives to his engagements: a deep grasp of the overarching business and political forces within the health care sector, as well as a practitioner's appreciation of the meticulousness and precautions that working with detailed health data necessitates. Brokering understanding between groups with disparate perspectives, he has managed complex and pioneering health care projects while creating an educational, research-oriented atmosphere.
